Brown Trout:
The Brown Trout have congregated out over the main lake channel. These fish are in big schools in 25 to 30 ft of water close to main lake points. We have been having good success trolling small Herring color crank baits 2 mph 80 to 100ft behind the boat. Some of these fish have put on some weight since last year. We have had several fish in the 5 to 6 lbs range. Look for these fish to move a little deeper over the next few weeks as the water temperatures rise. The trolling bite will get better as the thermocline dives a few feet.
Bass
The Large Mouth bass have almost completed their spawn and should return to a normal late spring pattern in a few weeks. The Spotted Bass are getting ready to spawn. Look for these fish in 10 to 12 ft of water. Casting a June bug fineness worm up towards the bank has been the ticket the last fee days. These fish should go on the bed any day now. After the spawn most of the spots will head towards the seawalls to feed on the spawning Herring. Try casting jerk baits in a Herring color. Work these areas slowly.

Good luck!
