Lake Lanier Fishing

Lake Lanier is turning over. Most of the shallow water 5 to 30 is finished. The blue back Herring are living well on the northern portions of Lake Lanier. We are starting to see the bite pick up on the North end of the lake. Most of the striped bass are small. The bigger fish will be showing up in the next fee weeks. The Spotted Bass bite has really picked up. These Spots are holding on a 14 to 25 ft bottom. The Walleye bite has picked up on Lanier also. These fish seem to be holding near brush in about 25 to 30,ft of water. Live bait seems to be the trick for catching these Georgia Walleye. Look for the bite to continue to get better as the water temps near the 60 deg mark. Good luck fishing!
