Lake Lanier Fishing Charters July

The South end of Lake Lanier Georgia is heating up and the Land Locked Striped Bass bite is heating up. Water temperatures have soared into the mid 80’s now and have pushed the oxygen enriched water towards the Southern portions of Lake Lanier. This is where you will find most of the Striped Bass population that North Georgia has to offer. These fish are in huge schools and are feeding several times throughout the day. Parker spoons on Lake Lanier have been been very successful lately. We have also been catching fish trolling Lead Core weighted line from Hammonds Bait Center. Try using five to nine colors of the Lead Core behind the boat tipped with a Capt Mack’s bucktail jig 3/4oz. We usually troll this around 3 mph. Of course we downline Blue Back Herring when parked on top of a school of fish. Good luck! Wes Carlton
