Lake Lanier Fishing Guides Report

The Striped Bass bite is still on fire on the south end of Lake Lanier. These fish are biting free lines and down lines. Most of these fish seem to be congregated over the South portions of the lake. Look for fish on the fish finder / heavy Timber try dropping down lines 28 to 35 ft. We have been catching quite a few fish on a captain Max Bucktail jig power reeled up through the timber. Free lines have been very effective some days. Try using a split shot on your free lines. This allows the bait to get down a little deeper but not as deep as a downline. Good luck!
